Manchester City ensured that there was no final day drama like 2012 as the sky blues won their 2nd premier league title in three years beating West Ham on the final day.
There is no argument about which team deserved to win the league as the league table never lies.
At the end of they day, all things balance out and it cannot be said that a certain team blew it because of one single mistake.
Arsenal were on top of the league for 128 days and their annual turmoil in the second half of the season ended the surge. The collapse started with 5-1 thrashing against Reds, from which they never recovered.
City were in control with a handful of games remaining, they drew Arsenal and a massive mistake by captain Kompany against Liverpool gave merseysiders the momentum. The Sky blues slipped again vs Sunderland and that also gave Chelsea the lifeline to win the title as well.
Chelsea secured 16 points against the top 4 sides, a remarkable feat. However, they suffered against the relegation threatened teams like Sunderland, Norwich, Villa, Palace and eventually that ended their title chase.
Lastly Liverpool, who were 5 points behind City on new year, 7 points behind Arsenal with 14 games to go and as it turned out needed 40 from the last 42 points to win the league.
Gerrard returned the favor to City as Reds did slip and earned only 37 points winning 12 of the last 14 games, even 13 wins wouldn’t have been enough, shows that their season’s first half blips mattered as much as the latest ones.
Pellegrini earns his first major title in Europe, a manager of his caliber had to wait that long and more than anyone else he surely deserves it.

Agreed, Every team had their moments and in the end City are deserving champions as they delivered when it matted and were the most consistent side all season.
With 5 games remaining, the title tilted from City, to Liverpool and Chelsea and back to City/ Mad league. Happy for Pellegrini
Liverpool should be proud of themselves, just take a look at their squad. They only had Moses and Aspas to depend on Bench when things werent working.
City had the likes of Jovetic, Negredo,Milner at times Fernandinho, that’s just attack.
Chelsea had massive depth as well but yes with shit strikers and they are to blame themselves for not buying a top one
If Chelsea strikers were considered shit why was Demba Ba not loaned out.
