Giroud Out – Arsenal's Possible Starting XI vs Chelsea

Olivier Giroud of ArsenalArsenal are 4 points behind league leaders Chelsea with a game in hand but all that can change when the two teams collide tomorrow.
Odds are against an Arsenal win as Wenger has never defeated Mourinho and Mourinho has never lost a league game at Stamford Bridge.
Hence at home, Chelsea will hold stronger cards but will be without two key Samba stars i.e. Ramires and Willian who both saw red against Villa.
They will still have a strong XI to face gunners. As far as Arsenal is concerned, Wenger should bench Giroud and play Podolski as an out and out striker to have more pace which is a must against Chelsea.
Chamberlain should come into the attacking midfield while Flamini must return to starting lineup to help Arteta in midfield at Stamford Bridge.
Here is Arsenal’s possible starting XI vs Chelsea.

    may be draw

  2. sulcompu says:

He is always minus one against big teams, yet Giroud should start the game. He is best centre forward we have for now!!

  3. Aworinde Tope says:

    Must win for the gunners

  4. Henri Chizaun says:

We can do it.,OG has slipped abit and Poldo looks sharper in front of goal

  5. ebrahim says:

Arsenal really need a good striker but arsene wenger doesn’t seem to get that now, does he?

  6. Joseph Maina Gikaria says:

Wenger should really get a striker who can change a game from a loss to a draw,a draw to a win.Not Giroud…..lyks of Costa,Manduzikc,Tevez,Pogba,Suarez,Dzeko,Morata to mention a few.

  7. Ack says:

@Joseph Maina Gikaria: hahaha POGBA for striker. go to sleep you are drunk

  8. silentstan says:

the window is closed, nobody can be signed, so stop going on about a new striker, you ate boring and pointless

  9. gimei pius says:

Giraud is better striker but he can not suit into arsenal squad .He can not manage arsenal pressure in bigger matches

  10. TAJ AZIZ says:

He was never a striker for arsenal to begin no striker instincts at all just holding striker for ramsy doesn’t get behind defenders

Pace against Chelsea? And coming from Podolski? Massively confusing article. Firstly we need strength against Chelsea and lots of movement, pace won’t work because Mourinho will setup defensively in the middle by playing Matic and Luiz which means the back line will sit deeper so there won’t be any space behind them to run into. I can see us attacking the wings so that’s where we need pace so Ox should be on the right with Podolski on the left. Our only natural attacking mid is Cazorla so we need a strong striker who can win things and hold the ball up and bring him into play. If Giroud struggles Cazorla will. I’d be happy to come away with a point so long as we get 6 from Swansea and Citeh.

Chelsea have never lost at home under Mourinho in the Premier League. Its formidable. But Arsenal under Wenger have overcome worse than that. Wenger was pilloried for suggesting Arsenal could go a season unbeaten. Its a big game. But it is not as big as the Man City game next week. Arsenal can win, but it is far too close to call

  13. Nasir Alayo says:

To me, there is nothing wrong with this line up as you would agree with me Poldoski is a better attacker than big OG even if he’s not a natural striker.

  14. ampitan israel says:

arsenal board and arsene wenger are not seriouse, they are complete business associates, this strikers should have solve during the january window, then they were busy fooling the gunners fans all over the world not knowing they were deceiving their selves, well is left to them.gunners for life.

  15. Paulie j says:

I totally agree!! I read Lucas podolski is out of favour and may leave
Come summer??why he is a proven goal scorer and a massive asset
If you ask me!! He has been injured but deleivers when needed!!
Og is to busy with hookers pre match!! And I would rather see poldi
Stay and him leave he is so natural on the left and gives us better service
Bentner og to go not podolski if he leaves we will regret it trustme!!
You don’t get juve n inter interested if he was not class I think with a good run
Under his belt he would show the class he is capable of!!
    Must win tomoz!! Coyg!!

  16. Wenger is ever unpredictable let us hope for the best

  17. Andrew says:

Cz, Sagna, Met, Kosc & Gibbs, Arteta & Flamin, Carzola, Ox & Gnabry, Pold! Real Gunner!

  18. Ismail says:

Is their decision not buy in january transfer window costs them loose all the big matches

  19. Twesa says:

Did you say Mourinho has never lost a league game at Stamford Bridge? I remember Stoke City collecting three points at Stamford Bridge this season. Its possible to win at Stamford Bridge.

  20. Giorld always lost his body language when playing big teams, what a minus to arsenal????
