Former Liverpool Star – Xabi Alonso is 'Irreplaceable'

The one player Liverpool have not yet replaced from Benitez’s era is legendary Xabi Alonso. The pass magician is still missed at Anfield since his departure back in 2009.
Los Blancos star has recently signed a contract extension with Real Madrid to brush aside all the rumors linking him with a move back to premier league.
Alonso won the Champions League and FA Cup during his time at Liverpool Football Club.
His current team mate Alvaro Arberloa left the merseyside in the same transfer window and the former Liverpool star is glad that Alonso is going nowhere.
Arbeloa is aware of his team mate’s significance and ability to control the game and believes that Xabi Alonso is irreplaceable.
He claimed:

“It would have been a blow if he’d have gone. There is no other player like him in the world to replace him,” Arbeloa was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
“It is great news for everyone associated with Real Madrid and for him too, so everyone is happy.”

Chelsea and Liverpool were looking to lure him back to the premier league but Alonso has perhaps made the best decision to stay with Real.
