Manchester United and Arsenal will collide in perhaps the most important game of the league for both the teams.
The Red Devils are currently no less than 8 points behind Gunners who are in red hot form being top of the league and also their Champions League group.
David Moyes’s men have vastly improved as well after a disappointing start to the new season but cannot afford to lose against Wenger’s side as a defeat may as well end all their hopes of retaining the title.
Gunners tried to sign Rooney in the summer and former Evertonian is going to be the key man to unsettle Arsenal on Sunday.
Kagawa’s starting place is in doubt. Although he played a fantastic game against Sociedad, especially at No.10 position but still chances are that he may find himself on the bench because of impressive youngster Januzaj.
Robin van Persie missed two great chances against the Spanish side in mid-week and will look to make things right against his former club. He scored the opening goal of the corresponding fixture last season.
Key will be the midfield battle, department where Arsenal have been excelling this season and United have been weak even after spending a lot to sign Fellaini. Likely that Jones will start in the midfield to stop Arsenal’s midfield drive alongside Carrick.
Here is Man United’s likely 11 vs Arsenal.

as long as welbeck doesnt start i would be happy with this formation and team selection……welbeck starting is always a statement of negativity for me…a man who contributes nothing but hard work…which isnt good enough for a top team….i would prefer kagawa instead of valencia but valencia is a moyes type of player…its sad seeing fellaini struggle….he looks lost……its like moyes went to the showroom with wads of cash and bid for all the cars that were already bought by others and then settled for the clapped out banger that was the last car on display……..its hard saying mistakes happen when 27 million has been spent…sadly i think this may be something moyes never shakes off…….his next few transfer buys will be crucial…….
If this match is not to be considered as loose as never play, moyes must be cautious of his selection. To me,i would prefare the starting eleven against fulham;the only alternation must be if there is injury. In attack, moyes should go for substitution when he discover a traces of performance below par incase of rooney & van persie.
Whatever we say, i think we only badly need a win today. After seeing Kagawa movements in no 10 behind V.Persie, and considering Rooney capability of droping in a style, and after recogonizing how Januzaj ability to finish defender when play on 7,I propose this formation: 4-2-3-1; De gea. Evra-vidic-ferdinand-valencia(if rafael is not available). Jones-clev( or carrik when available). Rooney(11)-KAGAWA(10)-Januzaj(7). Van Persie(9). This team is strong, eeh?
Januzaj should start from the bench nani right wing kagawa cm
Its really sad to see fellaini written off already, a player that arrived late at the club and because of that didn’t feature in any of united preseason are we surprised his having a slow start and playing far from his best? The truth is he needs time , @gainst sociedad he showd some really good signs , won all his battles , loose balls and distributed the ball well. If I were dm I would give him another opportunity to build on that against arsenal. So my proposed line-up would be : degea evra-jones-vidic-valcencis(in d absence of rafael) carrick-felli-januzaj(11)-kagawa(10)-rooney(7)-rvp. Long live united
