Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata. Unbelievably, the star midfielder finds himself in a complex scenario.
The man who was voted Chelsea’s player of the year last season is now set for a bit-part role under returning manager Jose Mourinho. What on earth went wrong between the two?
Blues already have numerous playmakers in their side. The likes of Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Moses are the ones alongside Mata who compete for the starting places but the Spaniard was always the first name on the sheet last season and after brilliant performances he is nowhere to be found.
Even after such firepower at disposal, Mourinho has signed another attacking midfielder, Brazilian Willian from Anzhi. Adding to that, he is still pursuing United star Wayne Rooney.
The Chelsea supporters are baffled as well but who can stand against Jose. Such a situation only makes things harder for Mata who deserves first team football but cannot compete with the power of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
With the World Cup coming up next year, the competition for places in Spain’s squad is very high. Cazorla and Mata were two best players for their sides last season but rarely did they find themselves starting for Spain. In 6 games, both players could only start twice.
Mata needs to be playing regularly to earn a place in Spain’s squad and for that to happen, he might just have to leave Chelsea. Top clubs are interested as we enter into the final days of the summer transfer window.

Manu wouldnt sell to mory dont think he wiil consider selling to any pl rivals
No business has been done between the top 6 clubs (sorry everton) this summer and I don’t think there will be either. Arsenal currently have 7 players vieying to play in the 3 behind the striker – walcott chamberlain gnabry rosicky cazorla podolski ryo. That is as many as chelsea if not more. Sure the quality is lower but we have more pressing issues even if chambo and poldi are both injured. The fact is our 26 man squad is struggling to cope in almost every department and its still only august. We basically need a recruit in every line. Gk, defence, holding mid, attacking mid, and striker. In fact I would add 2 players to each line except GK. That would be a total of 9 however 4 would need to be homegrown or if not born 1992 or after.
