Arsenal Can Pay €30 million for Higuain but Why that Wait?

Gunners have been linked with numerous forwards this summer. One player that has been in the limelight for quite some time is Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain. Reports over the past few weeks have been baffling for the Arsenal supporters and nothing concrete is there as yet.
Firstly, it was reported that that Higuain has agreed fee with the London club but were not matching Madrid’s asking price. Then we came to know that perhaps Madrid have agreed a fee as well and latest Madrid’s President Perez has come up to state that Gunners have not even made an offer for the Argentine forward.
Instead, almost everywhere, now we see that Arsenal have made an official bid for Liverpool star man Luis Suarez, however the merseysiders have rejected their 30 million pounds offer for the Uruguayan. Marca rightly reports that recent transfer dealings of Arsenal might be really confusing for Higuain who is likely to depart Madrid this summer.
On the other hand, the dealings should be confusing for the supporters as well because Luis Suarez is not really an easy player to sign. One, he wants to leave England, two, Liverpool will be reluctant to sell him to a premier league club, three, he is definitely going to cost at least 40 million or so.
In any case, gunners have made one thing clear by bidding that high for Suarez i.e Arsenal can pay €30 million for Higuain but the main question is what are they waiting for?
Higuain is interested in a moving to premier league club and his family members did suggest that he may join Arsenal. Then that actually puts Arsenal in pole position for the Argentine but they still have not offered the desired amount.
For now the Argentine is training in Spain and next week he will be able to find out his status with Los Blancos when he meets the new manager in charge.
Things are complicated at the moment. Arsenal may as well be looking to keep Madrid guessing but the Spanish giants are in no hurry to sell one of their star strikers, and will be patient being well aware of the fact that Arsenal can pay their asking price for Higuain.
Only Arsene Wenger would know what he is upto but there is no doubt that Higuain is a top quality striker, one of the best finishers around and one that Arsenal badly miss. For now there are not many clubs interested. If Arsenal really want him, they should move for the player before other suitors turn up and make things even more complex for the North Londoners.
