The Red Devils fans cannot wait to sign top quality starlets under the management of David Moyes as their rivals have already started reinforcing their squads. As always, United are linked with numerous world class players and a few of them have been strikers.
However, Manchester United do not need an out and out striker for their squad as for now they have enough quality and depth for that position. Perhaps what they do need is someone at CAM or CF who can possibly replace Wayne Rooney if he departs.
Last summer, Alex Ferguson splashed 20 million on Arsenal’s star striker Robin van Persie who once again topped the goal scoring charts last season and proved influential in United’s title winning campaign.
Although, the Dutchman will soon turn 30 still he is in the form of his life and will be the main striker next season as well.
Adding to that, they have another top quality out and out striker in Javier Hernandez who was rarely utilized last season. However, when given playing time, he always impressed.
The Mexican started 9 league games for United and scored 10 goals plus he has always been in fantastic form for the national side as well.
Then they have Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck who provide support out wide as well as in the center and can also play as lone striker up front if needed. Having vast amount of quality and depth in that position, United do not really need to splash a mammoth sum to sign another out and out striker.
Lately, they have been linked with two of the best strikers around in Polish star Robert Lewandowski and Uruguayan Edinson Cavani. Both players will cost a lot and surely you don’t pay heavy sum for someone to make him sit on the bench.
Now if United do sign anyone of the above mentioned stars and lets say they will sell Hernandez as well, where will Moyes play the new out and out striker knowing that their formation only requires one place that is likely to be filled by Robin van Persie.
Will van Persie be benched then? Do not think so. Will the new striker be benched? Do not think so. Will one of new signing or van Persie be playing as a support striker? Not an ideal situation.
To sum it all up, Manchester United do not really need an out and out striker and the money should be spent on positions where they do need reinforcements.
In your opinion, should Manchester United sign an out and out striker?

(Visited 58 times, 1 visits today)
utd should sign lewandowski;fellaini;ronaldo then rooney can leave to his dream destination..utd is sure of goals from the trio in every game over to you moyes..no hesitant
Man u dont need a striker because they have so many of them with their talent not fully exploited but they really need attacking and defensive mid
what i really do think is that man united dont need another striker the position that need to be strengthened is the midfield as for now we re out competed inthe field especially by our bitter rivals man city so i argue moyes to pay attention in midfield and wingers .
United sud look 4 quality midfielder and quality Defender 2 sign and forget abt strikers. There re qualities strikers there already: Van persieROoney,Hernandez Welbeck and Macheda.
We dnt need lewandowski or cavani, all we need is thiago, strootman, ronaldo, garay, baines, fellaini.with dis guys utd will unstopable. Just imagine the fomation de gea, raphael, garay, vidic, baines. Midfield:carrick, strootman, thiago. Attack: ronaldo, van persie,valencia/young
Man utd do not need a striker for now. The club have van persie, chicharito, welbeck and kagawa who can play behind the striker. The club need to offload some players like nani, valencia, anderson and rooney and boost his midfield with new players like thiago, christian tello, mendy and strootman
they dnt need a striker nw they must reinforce the mid and back
man u do not need a striker, moyes should jst work on midfild nd defnce. Garay, bains, mid – tiago strootman nd felain. Then problems are over.
Moyes should not buy another striker, but re-enforce the mid-field with the likes of Thiago, Felaini, Strootman, and CR7 with Garay at the back.
Midfield – tiago, Carrick and kagawa/rooney,
Attack – ronaldo, RVP and Zaha/valencia/young
Man united should forget abt buying strickers cos we have Rvp rooney chicha welbeck and mancheda but reinforce on midfielders
Altough getting all those players people have stated above would make us unstoppable it’d cost close to 200 million..in a single season.
Bale – 80 Mil atleast
Ronaldo – ? Maybe around 50 ish
Baines – 15+ atleast
Tiago – 15 Million are the suggested reports I think
Fellani – 20+ atleast
And there’s no point in benching the amount of talent we already have (for most games)…Welbeck, Young, Valencia, Carrick/Kagawa.
We DO need Ronaldo in my eyes but we shouldn’t pay more then 50/60 million.
Get Tiago and Fellani.
Next season get rid of Evra if he has another poorish season and is showing more signs of decline get Baines in.
If rooney out man u need a stricker like lewandowski or cavani and we need midfilder thiago, strootman etc
why on earth always man utd coaches wants to makes utd fans angry wit un necessary transfer talks? wat is da essence of buying strikers wyl we hv 4 dif kinds utd dnt need any striker even if roo leavs all we need is midfeild and defence reinforcement. so get garay, baines, tiago, strootman and fellaini isntead of stupid cavani , ron or bale b4 dos noisy neighbours try there luck wit there money again.
