Chelsea’s possible Signing of the Season

Cavani UruguayChelsea are looking to add world class players to their squad so as to challenge for the premier league title next season. The blues may have been successful in Europe but for the past two years they have been quite average in England as far as their high standards are concerned.
Signings are inevitable and with the return of Jose Mourinho, expect big names coming in. The Londoners are heavily linked with Napoli’s striker Edinson Cavani who might be Chelsea’s possible signing of the season. Reports suggest that they have agreed a deal for Uruguayan.
Napoli’s Radio Marte announced that a deal has been agreed for the main striker and reportedly the fee is £49.3 million (less than £50m Fernando Torres). The Radio station stated:

“Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club will pick up around €58m, a slight discount on the buy-out clause, which is the same situation as Ezequiel Lavezzi to PSG last year.”
“The player will earn €8.5m per season plus image rights.”

They also claimed that the deal may be finalized when Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has secured the man who will replace Cavani.
Cavani is arguably one of the best strikers in the world right now. The Serie A top scorer is exactly the kind of striker Chelsea have been missing for the past few seasons.
For now El Matador is on international duty playing Confederations Cup in Brazil. Although, his record for national side is not that prolific but his goal scoring stats for Napoli are no less than outstanding.
Cavani has scored a brilliant 104 goals in just 138 appearances for the Italian side and Mourinho will be hoping the Uruguayan replicates the same top form for the blues if they are able to lure him.

I think the transfer fee is too much.At least €48m will be ok

Chelsea needs a second Drogba,a man with skills, short, strenght an mostly ability to score. If Cavani can us all this, let blues go for him, afterall we are Billonians.

If it doesn’t affect financial fair play please sign Cavani but he is too expensive. We have Romeu Lukaku and Demba Ba who can do the damage up front of Chelsea. With a number of players Chelsea have including youngesters, I think you have to sort out on defence but we do not want to loose Luiz and Cahill on centre back.

Cavani is the good striker in this era. I wish blues to buy Cavani because the way he is is the same as Drogba was. So he is very important for Chelsea.
