Liverpool want Homesick Spanish Winger

There have been many wingers linked with Liverpool football club over the past few weeks. Tello, Ince, Mkhitaryan to name a few. Now the media reports that Liverpool want homesick Spanish winger Jesus Navas who has only played for Sevilla his entire career.
The 27 year old playmaker is renowned for his pacy runs and dribbling to trouble the defenders and over the years top clubs have approached Sevilla to sign their prized asset. However, the main reason why Navas never left the club has been homesickness.
Although Marca reports that Liverpool are interested in signing the Sevilla star, still the aspect mentioned above may as well prove that the deal is in doubt as usual.
Navas has been Sevilla’s main star over the years but this season, he has been mediocre to say the least. In 36 league appearances for the side, Navas was unable to score even a single goal and has only provided 6 assists. Poor stats as far as his standards are concerned.
It is reported that Sevilla need funds and in such a scenario they are considering the sale of Jesus Navas. Numerous clubs have been interested including the likes of Madrid, Manchester City and now Liverpool have jumped in as well.
Jesus Navas was part of the World Cup 2010 and European Championships 2012 winning squad with Spain. The quality of the Spanish winger is undeniable and he can prove to be a brilliant asset for the reds.
However, for now, no formal bid has been made by the merseysiders to hire his services.
The homesickness factor means that even if he finally decides to leave his boyhood side Sevilla or the club decides to sell him then it is likely that Navas will like to remain in Spain and thus that makes Real Madrid favorite to land the speedy winger.
Liverpool will not be playing Champions League football next season, but of all the interested clubs, Reds are perhaps the one where Navas can have more chances of first team football than already star studded sides of Madrid and Manchester City.
Whether Liverpool will make a formal bid and Navas can break out of his fears of homesickness, only time will tell.
