Viola are Well Aware of Arsenal’s Transfer Kitty

Fiorentina are holding onto a price tag of 30 million for their prized asset Jovetic. Reports suggest that Arsenal are ready to pay somewhat around 25 million to lure the Montenegro International. However Viola are well aware of Arsenal’s transfer kitty, financial situation and may have other ideas.
Arsene Wenger always have an inclination towards signing young stars and Jovetic exactly fits that criteria. Not only is he young but also experienced enough having played over 100 games for the Italian side. The 23 year old has scored 12 goals in 30 odd appearances for Fiorentina.
Arsenal finished 4th on the last day of the season at the expense of arch rivals Tottenham. Wenger claimed that now gunners will be looking to compete for the title. For that to happen, Arsenal just have to reinforce big time as other contenders for premier league title are already too strong and are looking to further strengthen their squads.
On the other hand, Fiorentina have suffered Champions league heart break as they just failed to qualify for Europe’s elite competition. Therefore, Viola will not be really willing to sell any of their star players as they look to achieve that target next season.
Keeping in view the reported 70 million transfer kitty available plus whatever Wenger can get from player sales, Fiorentina are likely to hold onto their asking price for Stevan Jovetic. Adding to that, Arsenal badly missed a top quality striker upfront this season and Jovetic may as well solve that dilemma.
Arsene Wenger has been heavily criticized for his transfer dealings over the past few years as the club has made a habit of selling key players to rivals. For worst, they did not sign equally brilliant players to replace them, still somehow, the manager has always ensured Champions League place.
This time around, the fans expect major improvements and things have to change if Arsenal are to stand any chance of ending that long trophy drought and competing with top rivals for the title.
The first step is to keep all the star players at the club that they are likely to do. Then splashing an amount of 30 million may as well be a signal of that change as gunners have never spent that big on a single player as well.
In any case, if they do not opt to spend such a hefty sum on Jovetic then there are always other options. Real Madrid star Higuain has been recently linked with a move to gunners but again he is not going to come any cheap as well. Whatever happens, the upcoming transfer season is going to be very intriguing for the Arsenal supporters.
