Arsenal Angle – Giroud Slowly but Surely Coming to Form

Arsenal Angle – Giroud Slowly but Surely Coming to FormSince his summer move from Montpellier, Olivier Giroud has been criticized more or less for his not so decent outings. However, last year’s Ligue 1 top scorer is slowly but surely coming to form for Arsenal.
The pressure was always going to be there on Giroud coming to perhaps the toughest league in the world. Adding to that replacing one of the best strikers in Robin van Persie was never going to be simple who scored no less than 30 league goals for the Gunners last season and currently shines for United.
Not to forget even the prolific Robin van Persie took 7 odd seasons to come to his best. Else Arsenal have never been able to take full benefit of the Dutchman who spent most time on injury table during his tenure in North London.
The strange fact is that van Persie was given that time to settle, whereas Giroud has been criticized way too much in just his first 6 months of Arsenal career.
Then again the legendary Thierry Henry took 9 games to score his first goal for the gunners and did take quite a while to settle into premier league. So Grioud inevitably deserves his time.
The French striker might have had trouble during his time in England but with the passage of time he has adjusted brilliantly to the game and is proving fruitful.
He might have scored only 13 goals in 32 games for the Gunners but that is not all. He has provided no less than 9 assists i.e. directly involved in 22 goals in 32 appearances, which is brilliant. Adding to that his build up play is quite fantastic as well.
Last night, Giroud showed his class against Brighton, scoring two goals of the highest order. The first goal was blasted into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area and the second was even better.  Diaby found space to provide a wonder ball for Giroud who controlled the ball with a sublime first touch and only needed another one to slot the ball home. Giroud deserved his man of the match accolade for a performance of a top quality striker.
All the gunner supporters must back the striker to come good as all Giroud needs is time. He is highly talented and the goal scoring instincts are there. Consistently the Frenchman has improved and matured and it won’t take long when he will have that major fear factor for the defenders.

It wouldn’t take long before the premiership best striker start showing up His talent. We (Arsenal) has always made it possible and sure it will. Giroud is a fine striking signing from wenger and needs little time to flow on with his talent. Even the best need time to build up to the standard of the game.
