Arda Turan Set to be Part of Arsenal's Remedy?

Arda Turan Set to be Part of Arsenal's Remedy?Arda Turan, the 25 year old Atletico Madrid winger, has been rumoured to have agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut claimed that the Turkish international wanted a new challenge, and told Turkish television: “Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same,”
Although when Turan was questioned on these Arsenal reports while on holiday skiing, he brushed them aside, saying that he didn’t want to be “disturbed.” However, if the rumours are infact true, and Wenger has managed to secure Arda Turan, he could be just the right sort of player Arsenal need.
Turan is traditionally a winger, but can also play more centrally, and would most probably be used by Wenger as a winger, as the Arsenal midfield is great at the moment. However, although Arsenal already have Chamberlain, Podolski, Gervinho, and Walcott for the time being, Turan is a very different player to the triplet of main wingers Arsenal have at the moment.

Turan Celebrates Atletico

All the Arsenal wingers, especially Chamberlain and Walcott are fairly reliant on their pace, and all four wingers are not as technically gifted as the likes of Cazorla, Wilshere, and Arteta. However, Arda Turan is a very different type of winger, he is technically as good as the likes of Wilshere and Cazorla, but plays on the wing. Turan is more of a dribbler, and creator than Podolski and Walcott, and especially Gervinho, and a different dimension of winger could be just what Arsenal need to balance their strikeforce.
Turan, therefore, is just the type of player Wenger likes, technically gifted, intelligent, and not a bad finisher either. He does have a 24 million Euros buy out clause, and although this isn’t a whole lot, it’s more than Arsenal paid for Cazorla, and with Turan and his agent looking for a move elsewhere, a cheap purchase in January may appeal to Athletico, as well as Arsenal of course.
On the other hand, if you asked almost any Arsenal fan, they would be very happy to take Turan on board, but would prefer a world-class striker, and a proper defensive midfielder to release Arteta into a more advanced role.
So, although Turan would be a great addition to Arsenal’s ranks, he shouldn’t really be first on the shopping list for Arsene Wenger.

Even if we ‘ll get the best strikers like villa ,cavani or Lloriente arsenal will ever remain de same bcoz of de following problems: (1) passing de ball at their own halfline. (2) slowing down de game after scoring a goal (3) too much passes instead of attacking (4) not scoring early goals etc.

Great signing – no chance this is true. Atletico no chance they release him and if they do price is not a “wenger bargain”. I havent seen one rumour of expected purchases in jan i believe will happen. Villa / arda / Ba / willie from palace – price / age / competing clubs, none will happen, and theo is sure to go just sitting it out so he can go as free transfer so obvious. Real shame, hoping wed get a top signing or two in. At least we may finally get rid of arshavin and chamakh. If only we could get rid of squillaci / djourou / park / santos / gervinho (thats half a team of sht players on like 200-250k a week of dead wood)
