Aston Villa looking into loan deal for Chelsea graduate

Championship side Aston Villa are looking into a temporary move for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham as they seek to enhance their prospects of promotion during the ongoing campaign. The Villains witnessed a tough transfer window where they were uncertainties regarding their financial situation but they have still made a good start to the ongoing season.
According to Birmingham Live, the west Midlands outfit are aiming to pursue the services of Abraham on a season-long loan as they look to better their chances of top-flight promotion. Nevertheless, Steve Bruce’s side don’t have a straightforward route to the 20-year-old with several Italian and Dutch clubs hoping to lure him overseas.
Abraham has struggled to break into the Blues lineup over the past couple of seasons, where he has spent on loan with Bristol City and Swansea City respectively. At the present moment, he remains behind both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud in terms of competing for the centre-forward position and he may be best served pursuing another temporary challenge away from Stamford Bridge.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has placed a keen emphasis on trimming the first-team squad before the end of the month and this has witnessed plenty of activity with Kurt Zouma, Michy Batshuayi and Tiemoue Bakayoko making way on season-long loan deals. As such, Abraham may follow a similar route this month, though he may re-consider dropping into the Championship after experiencing Premier League football last term.
Aston Villa endured a frustrating summer transfer window where they were at one stage on the verge of going into administration but thankfully for them, a change of ownership has helped them resolve their financial constraints. John McGinn and Orjan Nyland were the only permanent signings for the Villains before the transfer deadline on August 9.
Aside from this, they have also witnessed loan arrivals with Andre Moreira and Axel Tuanzebe joining them from Atletico Madrid and Manchester United respectively. Barring the Premier League, clubs within the English Football League are permitted to make loan signings until the end of the ongoing month.
