Liverpool have already been active in the winter transfer window by agreeing a deal for Van Dijk, who will be eligible to make his debut for the Reds tonight.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are interested in further strengthening their team.
According to L’Equipe, Liverpool and Arsenal are the two most active clubs in the race to sign Monaco star Thomas Lemar. The French source have stated that both clubs have maintained their contact since August to lure the Les Bleus playmaker.

Last month, we covered a report (via L’Equipe) claiming that Liverpool are prepared to move in to sign the Les Bleus star in January. Moreover, on 20th December, Independent claimed that Liverpool will make a move to lure the £90million rated star, who wants to move to the Anfield club.
L’Equipe state that Liverpool are not ready to stop after spending a huge sum to sign Van Dijk. It is mentioned that Klopp was committed to signing Lemar in the summer transfer window, the move could not happen but the German manager would not be ready to give up now.
The 22-year-old star has so far featured in 13 league games for the reigning French Champions in the current campaign, scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists.
The French source have further stated that Lemar has rejected to agree a new deal with Monaco and is ready to move to England. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
