Mourinho has Decided to Get $72million Signing Done for Manchester United

Manchester United are virtually out of the title race and Mourinho needs to strengthen his squad in the winter transfer window if the Red Devils are to do well in the second half of the campaign.
As far as the transfer news is concerned, the former Chelsea boss wants to reinforce his back line and has decided that French international and Barca star Samuel Umtiti is the best option (Don Balon).
The Spanish source have mentioned that Mourinho is committed to complete the signing of the 24-year-old star and for that, he is even prepared to pay the release clause of the player. Samuel joined the Catalan giants last year, his contract will expire in 2021 and it has a clause (FCB) of 60 million euros ($72million).

Not to forget, Man United’s arch rivals, Liverpool, have agreed a fee worth 75 million pounds to sign Dutch center back Virgil van Dijk from the Saints. Umtiti is one of the best CBs in the Spanish league and in today’s market, his clause is not a big one.
Barcelona have been brilliant so far this season and Umtiti has been vital for them. However, the Les Bleus star has missed the last few games due to a muscle injury.
Don Balon have claimed that Mourinho was also interested in Real Madrid star Varane but now he has decided to do whatever it takes to secure the signing of Umtiti. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds.
