Liverpool have not been able to replace Luis Suarez since the Uruguayan international left to join Barca in 2014.
In his last season for the Reds, the South American superstar netted 31 league goals. Since then, no Liverpool player has managed to score even 20 league goals in a season.
Salah has already netted 12 league goals this season but he is a natural winger and not and out and out center forward.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Express) that Sturridge might depart the Anfield club and Klopp wants to sign Aubameyang, who is valued at around (via Bild) 60 million euros ($71million) by Dortmund.

At the moment, Roberto Firmino is playing as Liverpool’s main center forward up front under Klopp. However, if Aubameyang does end up moving to Anfield then he should be the one to lead the line as the Gabon international is better finisher than the Brazilian.
Firmino has scored 11 goals in 21 games so far this season. On the other had Aubameyang has scored 17 goals in 19 games.
Therefore, if Pierre-Emerick joins Liverpool then we can expect Firmino to take Sturridge’s place on the bench. Here is how Liverpool could line up with Aubameyang.
