Deal Very Close – Pau Lopez Set to Sign for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have got one of the best goal keepers in the world in the form of Hugo Lloris. The French international was in top form for the North Londoners in the last campaign.
On the other hand, Spurs’ second choice goal keeper is Dutch international Michel Vorm, who featured in 11 games last season and kept no fewer than 7 clean sheets.
Last summer, Pochettino lured Pau Lopez from Spanish side Espanyol on a loan deal. Spurs had the option to purchase the 22-year-old goalie for a fee of €7million but they opted not to and Lopez has now returned to Espanyol.

However, as per Sport, the La Liga team are once again in talks with Tottenham and Pau is very close joining the British side, this time on a permanent deal.
The renowned Spanish source have claimed that an agreement worth €2.5million plus add-ons between the two clubs is expected to be announced soon.
The 6 ft 2 La Roja player only made 7 appearances for Tottenham’s U-21 team in the last campaign, kept 3 clean sheets and conceded 8 goals.
Lopez  was part of the national team that recently competed in the U-21 European Championships. He made only one appearance against Serbia in a contest that Spain won 1-0.
