Pochettino Must Sign $17million Forward for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur signed Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar last summer and the Dutch international proved to be a massive flop.
Vincent was mainly signed to cover for Harry Kane but in the absence of the England international, he failed to shine. In 27 league outings for the North Londoners, the 23-year-old striker only managed to score 2 goals last season.
Mauricio Pochettino should get rid of the Netherlands forward and must sign a replacement who would be effective for Spurs.
Last month, Ok Diario reported that Tottenham see Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz as the perfect man to cover for Harry Kane next season. The 23-year-old Dominican center forward was rarely used by the Los Blancos but in the limited opportunities, he excelled big time.

In all competitions (last season), Mariano featured in 14 games and played for just 302 minutes. Still, he managed to score 5 goals and provide 2 assists. He only played once for the senior national side and managed to score a goal on his debut (2013).
Before playing for the first team of Real Madrid, Diaz scored 45 goals in 64 Segunda Division appearances.
As per a recent report covered by Marca, Real Madrid rate him around 15 million euros ($17million) and could even accept an offer worth 10 million euros with an option to re-sign him in the future.
Daniel Levy is not renowned for spending huge sums to sign world class players and mainly focuses on signing young starlets. Mariano is not expensive and has the talent to become a top quality goalscorer. In such a scenario, Spurs must splash the cash to agree his signing.
