Tottenham in Front and Ready to Sign €45million Star

A certain Portuguese international in the form of Sporting CP star Adrien Silva has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks.
Last week, we covered a report (via A Bola) claiming that Spurs are serious about hiring the services of the 28-year-old midfielder, who has a release clause of €45million in his contract.
More recently, renowned Portuguese source, Record, have stated that Tottenham are in front and can win the race to secure the signing of Silva. The source claims that Sporting are ready to sell their captain for a fee close to €35million.

Adrien played a key role in Portugal’s successful Euro 2016 campaign. He did not feature in the group games of the competition but played in every KO contest for the national side.
He is a versatile talent, who can be deployed in the defensive midfield, central midfield and also in the attacking midfield. Last season, he featured in 36 games for Sporting, scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists.
