Last summer, Man United’s first signing was a central defender in the form of Eric Bailly. This summer, their first signing is again a central defender.
Yesterday, the Red Devils officially completed the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica in a deal worth €35million (Fee via Daily Mail).
The Swedish international is a talented defender but it will be fair to say that after his arrival, United’s central defense is way over-crowded.
The Old Trafford club already have stars like Smalling, Bailly, Jones, Rojo and Blind for the central defense and it will not be shocking to see most of them leave the club this summer.

Stars have one eye on the next year’s FIFA World Cup and regular first team football is going to be very important.
