Spurs Have to Sign $56million Playmaker to Replace Flop

Tottenham splashed the cash to hire the services of French international Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United last summer but the move did not prove to be fruitful.
The Les Bleus star failed to shine at White Hart Lane and could not even score a single goal in the last campaign. He featured in 34 games for the North Londoners and only provided 4 assists.
Tottenham need to largely amplify the quality of their squad to win the PL title next season and they must replace Sissoko with a top attacker.
In such a scenario, Spurs have to sign Egyptian international and Roma star Mohamed Salah, who is rated (CalcioMercato) around 50 million euros ($56million). The former Basel playmaker is currently linked with a move to Liverpool but the Reds are not yet ready to meet Roma’s asking price (Liverpool Echo).
Last summer, Liverpool paid 34 million pounds to sign Sadio Mane (BBC) from Southampton. The Senegalese star scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists fort he Saints in the 2015-16 campaign.
Salah scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists for the Giallorossi last season and it is baffling that the Merseysiders are refusing to pay up for him.
Mauricio Pochettino should take advantage of the situation and must move in and meet Roma’s asking price to secure the signature of the African star, who will turn 25 in a few days.
Mohamed is renowned for his searing pace and in the past few seasons, he has improved big time. The ex Chelsea player can be utilized anywhere in the attacking midfield and even as a center forward if needed.
