The Gunners will end up playing Europa League next season for the first time under Wenger if Liverpool are able to beat Middlesbrough today.
Nevertheless, Arsenal need to reinforce their squad with top quality players to bounce back in the next campaign and we think that they badly need a creative central midfielder.
The North Londoners already have players like Xhaka, Coquelin and Elneny who can operate in the DM role but they have badly lacked creativity from a versatile star like Cazorla. The Spaniard has proved to be injury prone in the past few seasons.
Wenger needs to replace him with a top star and two names in the focus are Luka Modric (via Diario Gol) and €35million rated Corentin Tolisso (via Mirror).
Arsene is renowned for handing opportunities to youngsters and he always prefers players who will serve the club for the long term. In such a scenario, the perfect midfield signing for Arsenal will be Tolisso and not Luka.
Modric has been one of the best CMs in the world in the past few years but now, he is past his best and even Real Madrid are prepared to replace him (Diario Gol).
Not to forget, the Croatian star will turn 32 in September. This season, in 39 games, Luka scored just 1 goal and provided 4 assists.
On the other hand, the Lyon star will be 23 in August and is getting into his peak years. In 46 appearances, he has scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists.
Like Cazorla, Corentin is a versatile talent, who can also play effectively as an attacking playmaker. In your opinion, should Arsenal sign Modric or Tolisso?
