Liverpool need a quality out and out center forward in the summer transfer window to solve the strike-force dilemma once and for all.
Klopp clearly made a mistake by selling the likes of Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli last summer. Both strikers have performed well for their respective clubs.
On the other hand, Firmino has mainly started as CF for Liverpool while strikers like Ings and Sturridge have mostly been injured and Origi has warmed the bench.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Liverpool are on the verge of signing Brazilian international and Gremio star Luan, who is not ready to extend his stay with the club.
According to Mirror, Jurgen Klopp has been trying to sign him for over a year and now the Reds are closing in on the Samba star with an offer of 26 million pounds to secure his signature.
Liverpool’s interest in Luan was first reported exclusively by Anfield HQ last month, who claimed that the German boss is desperate to sign a new striker and wants the South American at the club. They claimed that the 24-year-old star will cost around 30 million pounds ($39million).
Luan was a key member of the Brazil squad that won the Gold medal in last year’s Olympics under the captaincy of Barcelona star Neymar. In 6 outings, the speedy forward scored 3 goals in the tournament.
It will not come as any surprise if Daniel Sturridge leaves the Anfield club in the summer transfer window and Luan could replace him. Will Luan be as good as Gabriel Jesus in the Premier League? Only time will tell.
