Arsenal have been terrible this season under the guidance of Arsene Wenger, whose future is up in the air.
As per recent reports (via Mirror), the French boss is expected to stay with the club even after poor results. The fans are not happy with that.
Wenger has been trying to secure new deals with star playmakers Ozil and Alexis but so far, he has failed. Now, according to London Evening Standard, the Gunners have moved in with a record offer of £300,000-a-week to finally seal a fresh deal with the Chilean international.
If Sanchez agrees the above mentioned wages, he will become the highest paid PL star ever. On the other hand, if he opts to depart then the North Londoners will be ready to sell him for a fee (via LES) of 50 million pounds ($62.5million).
The former Barcelona star has been Arsenal’s best player in the current campaign and deserves a new deal. His current contract will expire in 2018.
In 41 appearances (all competitions), the South American star has directly contributed in no fewer than 40 goals (22 goals and 18 assists). He has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award.
It will be intriguing to find out what Alexis decides. He will turn 29 later this year and has the opportunity to earn a lot at the Emirates. However, the Gunners might not play CL football next season and that will likely influence his decision.
In your opinion, should Alexis leave Arsenal or extend his stay?
