Arsenal must hold onto their world class attackers like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez this summer but both are linked with Manchester United.
Recently, we covered a report (via Daily Mail via El Show de Prensafutbol) claiming that Mourinho has personally called Alexis to talk about his transfer from Arsenal to Old Trafford.
Now, according to Mirror, the former Chelsea boss is keen on securing the signing of Mesut Ozil from the North Londoners this summer.
The German international was Arsenal’s best player last season when he broke the record of creating the highest number of chances in a PL season.
The 28-year-old attacker has so far featured in 33 games for the Gunners in the current campaign, scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists. Mesut’s current contract with the Gunners will expire in 2018 and he is rated around 42.8million euros ($45million) as per CIES Football Observatory.
In 2012, the versatile playmaker won the Spanish La Liga title with Real Madrid when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club. The Portuguese boss is well aware of Ozil’s qualities and as per the provided Mirror link, he wants to reunite with the Kaiser.
Other sources (via Goal) have previously mentioned that Mourinho wants Mesut at Old Trafford but the former Los Blancos attacker does not want to leave London.
In your opinion, should Man United sign Ozil or Alecis?
