Manchester United and Liverpool are linked with numerous quality attacking midfielders and the likes of Ivan Perisic and James Rodriguez have been in the focus lately.
Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via GdS) claiming that Mourinho is ready to pay 60 million euros to sign the Inter Milan playmaker.
As far as James Rodriguez is concerned, the (Daily Star) £185,000-a-week star ($230,000-a-wee) is unwanted at the Bernabeu and as per Don Balon, Florentino wants at least 60 million euros
However, renowned journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that the Colombian international could be lured for a fee of just 35 million euros.
He stated (Sky):
“Real Madrid want to sell him and about €35m would do it.”
The above mentioned fee should be considered a huge bargain for player, who won the Golden Boot in the World Cup 2014, has got top quality and can play in multiple attacking positions.
Liverpool paid 34 million pounds (BBC) to hire the services of Sadio Mane, who is probably going to miss the rest of the campaign.
The Reds have suffered in the absence of the Senegalese international and they need more quality and depth in the attacking third. Someone like James Rodriguez will largely improve Klopp’s team.
The dilemma is that Manchester United will have the edge to sign Rodriguezs because his agent ,Jorge Mendes, is also the representative of Jose Mourinho. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the summer.
