Mata Starts in Midfield – Man Utd's Strongest Possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs WBA

Manchester United will collide against West Brom when the Premier League returns this weekend.
Before the international break, the Red Devils won their last league game against Middlesbrough (1-3) away from home. Mourinho will be hoping to earn all three points against the Baggies and he will have to do the job without more than a few key players.
Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera and superstar striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic are still out suspended for the Old Trafford club.
Moreover, the likes of Jones, Fellaini, Smalling and record signing Pogba are injured and expected to miss the contest against WBA (Star).
In such a scenario, we can expect Juan Mata to start in the center of the park for United with veteran star Michael Carrick. The likes of Valencia, Rojo, Bailly and Blind may start in the back line in front of Spanish goalie David de Gea.
As far as the attack is concerned, Lingard, Mkhitaryan and Martial will probably start behind lone center forward Rashford.

Its time to let Fosu-Mensah in. Play him instead of Mata.

  2. Bernard i supported u, we’re playing two weak midfield in de person of mata nd Carrick.
So mensah is needed in dat midfield to keep it tight nd very strong dan playing mata

  3. imms says:

I support the starting 11, Mata will support in advance positions as Miki will get closer to Rashford

  4. mike tevez says:

I prefer luke shaw than blind who is slow…also mensah for his tackles…mata is short and wba aretall and strong….emulate arsenals match

  5. Tafari says:

Our problem is that our team has never been balanced. We play most games with one left footed player in the whole team…totally ridiculous. Then we play our right footed players on the left and vica versa…that’s a garbage strategy definately not something to start and end with. Why can’t we play a simple 4-4-2 with our best players in their best positions. If you can’t cross you can’t score……the formula for football is simple and doesn’t have to change. Get the ball wide down the line cross back of the net……Not even Ronaldo or Messi scores more goals when playing on their seeker side! Totally ridiculous!

The starting lineup against the Baggies is fine. what we need is three points not less for us to qualify for the top four. In the absence of the big guys the selected players should prove themselves to be quality. players.

  7. Bennian Amkx says:

I will need to see Luke shaw in left back while blind should start helping Carrick in midfield as well as Martial, Mata and Henrick m, in 3 men wings,as we keep Lingard and Timothy Fosu_mensah as substitutes and Damian included, I think we will go with our 3 points and goals coming from Martial and Mirktaryan and Rashford ,3:0
