Manchester United have the financial power to buy any player in the world and they are always linked with world class stars. Once again, Brazilian international and Barcelona superstar Neymar is in the limelight.
According to Spanish source Sport, Mourinho has moved in and made several calls to the former Santos playmaker in order to convince him to join the Old Trafford club.
The report states that the Red Devils are prepared to meet Neymar’s release clause of 200 million euros ($217 million) and offer him 25 million euros (double his current wages) annually to secure his signature.
Recently, we covered a report (via AS via TuttoSport) claiming that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reached an agreement to sign the Samba star but Conte is blocking such a move because he wants to trim the squad first.
The 25-year-old playmaker is in his peak years and he is in fantastic form for the Catalan giants.
In the current campaign, Neymar has so far featured in 35 games for Barca and directly contributed in no fewer than 37 goals (14 goals and 23 assists).
United were able to complete record signing Paul Pogba without Champions League football, however, as per the provided Sport link, the British giants may have to seal CL qualification first before signing Neymar. Moreover, the Spanish source also claim that the Brazilian star is happy at Barcelona.
