Tottenham Hotspur (and Manchester United) had the best defensive record in the Premier League last season. This time around, Pochettino’s team have been fantastic at the back as well and have only conceded 18 goals in 26 league games.
As far as the transfers are concerned, the North Londoners are linked with Manchester United left back Luke Shaw.
Tottenham LB Danny Rose is arguably the best left back in the Premier League and the Argentine boss must do whatever possible to keep him at the club.
The 26-year-old English defender is at the peak of his game and signed a new contract with the club last summer.
However, according to reports, Rose is heavily linked with a move to big spenders Manchester City in the summer transfer window. If he is eventually sold, then Pochettino will move in to sign Luke Shaw as his replacement (Daily Mirror).
Shaw impressed big time for Southampton under the management of Mauricio before completing his move to Manchester United. Under Mourinho, he is currently the fourth choice left back at the club and must leave for regular football.
As per the provided Mirror link, Luke earns £80,000-a-week, £4.2million-a-year ($5.1million-a-year) but he is prepared to cut down his wages to move to a new club.
In your opinion, is Shaw good enough to replace Rose?

Pounds to pennies, the only way Rose leaves Spurs is if they change managers. He’s not going anywhere. This is fantasy, and Luke Shaw as a replacement, are you kidding me. Luke Shaw has never recovered from two debilitating injuries, at his wages nobody will buy him. He’ll sit around at Man. Utd. until he can leave on a free,
Spurs don’t need Luke Shaw.. We just need to go and sign Fulham Ryan Sessegnon, Hull Harry Mcguire, Celtic Moussa Dembele and Mahrez. Sell Sissoko, Jenssen and Wimmer.. What do you think of my opinion..
