Manchester United have been interested in signing Roma defender Kostas Manolas for a long time now.
Last summer, the Red Devils were linked with a move for the Greek international but he eventually stayed with the Italian giants.
Recently, we have covered multiple reports (via the Sun) claiming that United are looking to sign him this month.
Firstly, it was reported that United made an offer of 32.5million pounds for the 25-year-old center half. Few days later it was claimed that United will offer 47.6 million pounds for the star who is rated around 52 million pounds ($63million).
Now, Correire della Sera have provided an update which suggests that United will pursue his signature next summer and not this month.
The Italian source has claimed that Manolas’ contract will expire in 2019 and the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are ready to launch the assault to agree his signing in the summer transfer window.
The report also states that United, Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in another Serie A defender in the form of Stefan de Vrij.
Kostas is one of the best central defenders in the world. This season, he has made 21 appearances for the Giallorossi. United already have an over crowded central defense with players like Smalling, Bailly, Jones and Rojo around. Even Blind can play as a CB.
In your opinion, should the Red Devils meet Manolas’ asking price of 52 million pounds to secure his signature next summer or they must push to sign him this month?
