Another day, another transfer report linking Swedish defender Victor Lindelof to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been looking to sign the 22-year-old center back for a long time now and the latest reports look positive.
According to reports (Express Exclusive), Mourinho is on the verge of agreeing a deal worth 38 million pounds ($47million) to sign the Benfica star this month.
However, as per the provided Express link, Lindelof is not the only center half that Mourinho wants to lure. Once again, Southampton defender Jose Fonte is in the limelight.
Two days back, Manchester Evening News reported that Manchester United are not going to move for the Portuguese star but today Express are reporting a different story altogether. They claim that Mourinho is ready to splash a combined fee of 45 million pounds to lure him and Lindelof.
United already have an overcrowded central defense with players like Smalling, Rojo, Jones and Bailly (AFCON) around. Even Blind can play effectively in the central defense.
Therefore signing another central defender makes little sense and signing two makes absolutely no sense.

This is absolutely good
Blind as a center back is not it at all, he’s too slow for a center back… He’d be preferred better as a defensive midfielder so, it makes much sense. Someday, Smalling would be sold because he doesn’t show confidence or courage and these are atttibs a good center back who’s supposed to be a leader must have just like Terry. Smalling doesn’t exhume that.
Like what the brother just said, smelling very slow, so please bring in lindelof and
Jose fonte
