Liverpool have been linked with American international and Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic for a long time and the rumors have been ever present recently.
The Reds moved in with an offer (via Mail) to sign the versatile attacker in the summer transfer window but the 18-year-old boy eventually stayed with the Bundesliga side.
Ten days back, Daily Mail reported that Liverpool will step up chase to sign the £25million rated ($31.6million) rated player in the winter transfer window.
Now the latest reports (SW via SportsBild) are very interesting. It says that there was an agreement that Klopp will not sign any player from Dortmund that the German club wanted to keep.
However, the report further says that Liverpool’s American owners like the idea of seeing a top American player at the club and are looking to finally sign Pulisic for Klopp regardless of any agreement.
Dortmund have an overcrowded attacking midfield and that is the reason why Christian has mainly warmed the bench in the league this season but in the Champions League he has started 5 of the 6 games so far.
In total, the teenage attacker has played 16 games (11 starts) and directly contributed in 8 goals (2 goals and 6 assists).
Former United States manager and World Cup winner with Germany Jurgen Klinsmann heavily praised Pulisic lately and stated that he is a “very, very special talent” (ESPN).
Not to forget, Coutinho is out injured and Mane is expected to leave for the AFCON next month and Christian can prove to be fruitful in the absence of the duo as he can effectively play on either flank.

Please don’t. You will just be a bench warmer at Liverpool once they come back. You are a Champion’s League starter on Dortmund…..why leave?
