Manchester United Serious About Sealing £50million Star Signing

Sport Witness cite reports in the Portuguese media claiming that United have already initiated talks with Benfica over signing the 22-year-old defender.
Moreover, United officials were present to watch the Champions League game against Benfica and Napoli and the report says that they were there to specifically monitor Lindelof’s performance.
Victor made his senior debut for the Swedish national side back in March this year and since then he has featured in 11 games. This season, he has featured in 19 games for the Primeira Liga giants.
Manchester United already have central defenders like Jones, Bailly, Smalling, Blind and Rojo. Do they really need to sign another one in the winter transfer window?
