Manchester United’s terrible form under Jose Mourinho continues as the Red Devils drew their fourth home game on trot.
Just recently, the former Blues manager claimed that United can still win the Premier League title this season but after another ineffective display, the Old Trafford club are now 11 points behind Chelsea.
United spent heavy cash in the summer transfer window to strengthen the squad but the performances have been mediocre. Now, Jose wants further reinforcements and Dimitri Payet is once again in the limelight.
According to reports (via Mirror), United want to lure the £35million ($44million) rated West Ham star.
The 29-year-old French international was fantastic for the Hammers last season and played a pivotal role for France at the European Championships as well.
Yesterday, he provided a wonder ball to set up the opening goal of the game for Bilic’s team. In 10 league starts this season, Payet has scored one goal and provided 6 assists. Last season, he scored 15 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions for the PL side.
Capable of playing in multiple attacking positions, Payet has what it takes to improve Man United’s firepower. His preferred starting position is left wing.
