Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp signed two central defenders in the summer transfer window in the form of Joel Matip from Schalke and Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg.
Now, according to reports going on in the media, the German boss is looking to sign another center half for the Reds in the winter transfer window.
According to Daily Star, Klopp is confident about agreeing the signing of Southampton star Virgil van Dijk in January. Liverpool just love to sign players from the Saints. Not to forget, stars like Lallana, Clyne, Lovren and Mane were lured from Southampton.
The 25-year-old Netherlands star has been brilliant for the Saints since completing his move from Celtic last year.
At the moment, he is in top form for Claude Puel’s team. Few weeks back, the Southampton boss highly praised van Dijk and claimed (Mirror).
“Virgil Van Dijk has everything, he is a monster physically, he wins everything in the air, he is intelligent, technical. He can become one of the five best defenders in the world.”
The Merseysiders must act swiftly if they are to sign the Dutch international because even arch rivals Manchester United are interested in hiring the services of the £30million rated (€35million) in the winter window (via Mirror).
emhhh… i think we no longer need those heavy wages scouts around ze world, let ze saint do ze work of targeting n buying afterward we snatched them,ya great idea
We verily need him
I think we players like to secure our place in champions league and stay on top and others are signing too so I give a go to it.
Could do with more cover in CB-role and it seems van Dijk has flourished surprisingly quickly in the EPL.
Don’t feel comfortable with Lucas filling at CB when the first choice CB’s are injured. Klavan is a bit unproved too, and besides we hopefully are offloading Sakho in the jan-window.
BRING HIM IN BRO …
AZMOUND AND BELOTTI TOO…
Please buy him.
If for the Club’s good intention why not!!! But he must prove worthy of his price tag
