It looks highly unlikely that Arsenal will seal another signing before the start of the new Premier League campaign. However, it will not come as any surprise if the Gunners secure key signings before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
A few top stars are heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez is one of them.
The North Londoners have been looking to hire his services for a long time. Wenger even wanted to lure the Algerian superstar last summer as well.
Now, reports (The Sun via L’Equipe) suggest that Wenger has moved in with an offer of 35 million pounds to finally secure the signature of Riyad Mahrez.
The Foxes are obviously looking to hold onto their star who won the PFA Player of the Year award. According to reports (Goal), Leicester are looking for a fee of 45 million pounds (€52million) for their prized asset. In all fairness, Arsenal must meet the asking price and sign the 25-year-old African star.
Riyad directly contributed in no fewer than 28 goals (17 goals and 11 assists) for Leicester last season.

Mahrez is a very good player, no doubt, but I dont think we need him! He played his best football on the right, cutting in to his favourite left foot. That is a position I wish to have Ozil played to allow Sanchez play behind Giroud, since every passing day, I feel less and less likely to sign a striker, so Wenger must get internal solutions. I feel Mahrez isnt the solution!!
