Liverpool Ready to Finally Seal $21million Star Signing

Since the departure of Javier Mascherno six years ago, Liverpool have not had a world class defensive midfielder in the squad.
Brazilian international Lucas Leiva has been the Reds’ main holding midfield star and the 29-year-old South American is now linked with a move away from Anfield.
In such a scenario, the Merseysiders must sign a strong DM and a certain Argentine is in the limelight. The player in discussion is Leandro Paredes who currently plays for Italian side AS Roma.
Back in March, the Reds were linked with a move to sign the 22-year-old La Albiceleste midfielder. Now that the transfer window is active, Liverpool can finally seal his signing and reports (Telegraph via Talksport) suggest that they are interested in securing the signature of the £16million rated ($21million) star this summer.
Last season, Paredes played on loan for Empoli and was their star defensive midfielder. He made 33 appearances, scored 2 goals and also provided one assist.
Lucas is past his best and Klopp must splash the cash to sign Paredes. He will provide the much needed protection in front of the back four.
