Liverpool are linked with numerous quality stars this summer and a new name is in the lime light in the form of Napoli and Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik.
Not to forget, the Reds and Napoli are also interested in signing another midfielder in the form of Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski.
According to reports (Football Insider via Tribal Football), Liverpool have moved in with a huge offer of 53.1 million pounds (transfer fee and wages) to hire the services of the highly rated 28-year-old star in the summer transfer window.
Hamsik joined the Serie A side back in 2007. Since then, he has made over 400 appearances for the club and currently holds the captain’s armband. Last season, the Slovak star scored 6 goals and provided 11 assists in 38 league appearances for the Italian team.
Marek is currently with the national side at the European Championships. He scored a brilliant goal against Russia and was heavily praised for his “fantastic” performance (ESPN).
He has netted 18 goals for Slovakia in 86 games. In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Marek Hamsik?

Oh please! Who comes up with these stories? 53.1 million pounds offered? For a 28 year old? Oy vey! Unless we are going to have midfielders “moonlighting” as strikers, how many midfielders do we need?
How long has this guy been at Napoli and I’ve never heard of any big club being interested in him before. How good was he against England (it’s not difficult to be good against England). The only Slovakian who was any good was Skrtel who already plays for LFC and we want rid ,pretty much sums it up i believe.
Seriously! 50+ Million pounds..28 years Old..who has not played in the Premier league????..Go to Sleep!
When the only thing that makes this guy stand out from others at the Euros is the stupid haircut I think we can give this one a miss! Did somebody accidentally put their phone-number down instead of the price wanted for him because there seems to be a Hell of a lot of figures for somebody who hasn’t been setting the world alight for so many years . . .
He is a good player but I still scream for a good left back and a potent striker.
