For over a decade, Arsenal have been renowned for their inconsistency under the management of Arsene Wenger. They are also famous for always qualifying for the Champions League but the fans do not care about that much anymore.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since 2003-2004 season. They have had many decent chances but the ability to self destruct has not helped, much to the despair of the supporters.
Wenger is without doubt a legend, however, fans have had enough of his blunders and excuses and slated him after the game against Sunderland.
If reports (Football Insider) are anything to go by then Wenger is perhaps going to make another blunder by agreeing a new deal with injury prone Jack Wilshere.
As per the provided Football Insider link, the new deal is going to be worth €141,000-a-week. The move makes absolutely no sense for someone who has only played his first game of the season last weekend.
Moreover, last season, the 24-year-old England international could only start 9 league games. His injury record is unbelievable and lack of playing time should not earn him a new contract. In your opinion should Arsenal agree new deal with Wilshere?
Arsenal to Agree Wilshere Deal – Another Wenger Blunder

This is not the only mistake the fm has made.He has made many other errors
all these years. In truth he shd have been axed years if not eons ago.
He will do more damage, based on his track record,if he stays on another year.
u cant just sell a player of wilshere’s qaulity ,i think wenger is right about giving he a new contact ,wilshere is worth it.
Wilshere can stay in Arsenal but with same wages. An addition is not good with his injury records. My problem is Giroud whom i can not understand why Wenger should be playing him. He’s not in any way supposed to be playing for Arsenal. He’s why we are in this position. Never seen such a rubbish striker before. Ramsey loves playing football but he does not play with a purpose. He Ramsey is part of our season down fall. Walcot does not want to grow in his game, Ox the same thing. It’s time Arsenal gets rid of these guys and bring in players who are willing to work hard. This embarrassment has gotten out hand. Wenger should drop down his stubbornness and get real. There’s young Adalaide who’s a super player, lot better than too many so called senior players . He’s one million times better than Giroud, Ox an Theo. Ozil is fade up with Giroud. That is the worst player I’ve ever seen.
The so-called armchair critics, when we were top of the league in December, you were soundless. Some decisions only a manager can determine, some may be strange weird even, but we don’t know what is happening in training or on the day. We have a great history that has only improved with Wenger, and we are a club that when the banks say we want to be paid we won’t have a problem. Unlike some when the whim is not football as has happened on the continent we will survive. Let’s be realistic; we should have could have, but we haven’t let’s get behind our team and show them and the management the support that the management gives the team.
We all want the title but at what price, support and loyalty are far more important, in the past that is what has made Arsenal better than the others Let’s not Change. Support the team and stop this armchair antics from those that only watch the game or who are a thing of the past.
Go the Arsenal.
Please stop. Being sycophantic is irritating. Our great history ended 12 long years ago. Since then, our only major achievement has been winning ONE trophy THRICE, out of a possible FOUR. That, in the modern game, for a supposed “top team”, is downright pathetic. We’ve NEVER made it into the UCL last 4 since 2006 – and we don’t look like we will anytime soon, either. Wigan and Birmingham managed to win a trophy before we won our first in almost 10 years. And now, Leicester City’s set to win the EPL, with Tottenham clear out of our reach in second, and having given them a good run for the title too. These two clubs have achieved, perhaps by accident, but also by pure performance, TWO things Wenger has NEVER achieved in the last TWELVE years by design! What do you call that? Success? He can’t motivate his players anymore because he himself is hardly motivated to actually strive for anything beyond the Top Four Trophy. He speaks of desire and spirit, but both he and his players seem to have none of those, save Sanchez. Our best players have in very little time been almost conformed to the Wenger standard of mediocrity. His tactics are forever the same, forever predictable, whereas our own performances are as unstable as the waves. We get drawn or beat by just about any team these days. All they have to do is let us play into their hands, and then hit us when we do. And it happens – again, and again, and AGAIN! We can’t continue to live like this man. For the sake of Arsenal FC, let’s not pretend. PLEASE
Arsene should go and he has no ambition to take Arsenal to a higher level and so some supporters are quite ok with just champions league qualification. We are going nowhere as a club.Arsenal must get rid of players such as Giroud,Walcott especially and some others too.Its time for decisive action but the question is Who will act?
am very disappointed this season again wenger has lost direction we cant be on top in december then struggle to even qualify for champions league manchester utd is closely approaching wenger should sell the following giroud, walcott,ox, and ramsey am tired sincerely..and buy ibrahmovic, mahrez, and harry kane or sturridge
mahrez is on the left wing.. you suggest we play him for Sanchez.. We don’t need Mahrez, sturridge or Ibra. Ibra is 1 season away from retirement. Sturridge is a 2 games a season player, we have enough of those. Harry Kane will not be allowed to come Money is no object for most EPL teams. Tot simply will NOT release him.
But yes Ramsey,Walcott and Ox should go. Giroud I would keep if only because I do not see a replacement that can do what he does. Walcott and Ox can be very easily replaced by Campbell, Gnabry and The Jeff. For Ramsey, Toral and Jack and El Nino.
I don’t think there is any truth about this story, this only hear say. People have to be very careful about the soccer news. Hear say is what supporters depend on, but there is no truth about it.
Arsene just gooooo, already tired even of quarelling any more.
The following players should leave immediately : Giroud, Walcott, Ramsey, Flamin Arteta,to bring in quality players, supporters we are ashamed every year next season.
Big headed and sturbon Arsene Wenge , Ramsey,Walcot,Ox and the so called Giroud should go and start their own football club some where else , those are the people led to the down fall of our Arsenal.I have never seen a striker running 14 consective games without even an off goal , moreover he is in good health , never injured and they creat him so many chance but the only thing he know just pulling out his tongue whether he was bought for that , Giroud is worthy playing in the championship ( the likes of burnley or wolvesmpton). And Mr.Wenger just accept u’r totally tired just emulate sir Alex Furguson because he did what he did and call it time , he never waited for worst time in his managerial career , pliz leave and give 1 a room to carry on.
Boycott, boycott, boycott!!!!! Stan will not fire Wenger as he’s making him millions every year. He already stated he’s not worring about winning trophies only fattening his pockets….. Only you fans can change the situation we are in. Wenger your time is up, how many players you could have signed but didn’t!!! How many players have you kept on the team when they were no use to the team (Diaby, Arteta, Rosciky, Flamini, Giroud, Mertersacker, Ramsey)!!! We have a lot of talented youngsters you are holding back and maybe with 3 or 4 additions we could be challenging the top teams. Stop looking for ‘the special’ player because there are loads of players that don’t have that ‘special’ tag on them they just need a chance. You are a good Coach but you are terrible at buying players at the right price, players who can do a good job for Arsenal
Wilshare is a good midfielder but he should stop famboling and using alot of energy which causes him to get many enjuries. And to add on wenger is wasting the likes ozil who are working hard for the team. We fans need a good striker not giroud and perfect wingers. Sanchez is a good ball dribbler but should also work on his last torches inorder to help us
Wenger should be treated with a little more respect for obvious reasons. BUT the great man’s determination to do things his way has come to nothing. Given the SPECTACULAR financial power and infrastructure of the club, THIS IS A DISMAL FAILURE.. The legacy of Wenger is not entirely negative, even in more recent years, the style of play is enormously appreciated, universally, by fans of every club. Which does create a set of expectations to any player who joins the club.
Wenger and Arsenal ARE both still respected in the World football arena, but the sad fact is, THEY ARE NOT FEARED AS AN OPPOSITION, NEITHER ARE THEY EVER EXPECTED TO WIN ANY MAJOR COMPETITION.
On the Wilshere question, a contract yes, a quantum leap wage increase, NO. The injury record to date, has furthermore ENSURED that few if any clubs of major trophy winning potential, would risk paying very much for Wilshere, he would be a financial liability. Increased wage offers are essentially an attempt to persuade a player NOT to leave for one of these clubs, as none of them would be likely to be interested, it makes no financial sense whatsoever to increase Wilshere’s wages.
Giroud, Walcott, Ox, Rambo, Mertesacker, Flamini should kindly leave for us. They are just wasting space in the team. They are the very people that gives Wenger selection headache, yet they can’t perform. Hardworking Campbell is sidelined beacause of them. Arteta and Rocky and start working in de managerial team. Varane can replace Mertesacker, Marhrez, Xhaka and Cavani can help solve the midfield and forward problems.
Jack Wilshire is a nice player but injury has been his major problem which is caused by his fool commitment to make sure that his team win always. Giving him a new contract is ok but wenger has to stop being stubborn and reinforce the team with quality players and allow those who are not performing well to go. He should also give the young once who have proved theirself chance to showcase their talent players like Adelaide, chuba Akpom etc .
Bring Marko Arnautovic to Arsenal,he is way better than Giroud.
We should support the club whatever it’s happen. It’s not easy to say what we should have won. I agreed the fustration of you all. Look at Man U , man city , Chelsea recently hese tell the story. Arsenal and us know what area must improve. Add some powerful with mentiality players will help. Lots of game s that we shouldn’t lost.
You forgot to add that ALL those teams you mentioned have won at least TWO trophies {including the EPL}in the last FIVE seasons alone!
Soccer nowadays is full of politics and gambling.
Arsenen Wenger, maybe playing his own politics and business in soccer @Arsenal FC.
If he loved the Club, he’d have re-signed long time ago.
He done good before, but has to now.
And he shouldn’t forget Oliver Giroud behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are embarrassing!
You beat Wenger with a stick for not signing RVP to a longer deal, now you complain because he learnt from that.
I think and believe that inspite the injuries, that wilshere is one British player in our team ARSENAL that plays out his heart when fit to play.He understands what it means to wear that jersey unlike the likes of Theo and OX who sometimes i just wonder how lucky they are to have landed in such a big team like Arsenal.Giroud might not have scored since the Liverpool game, but still think he is the best from the lots available presently in Arsenal. He might not have the pace, but works really hard for the team,so think what we need is someone who will make him be on his toes and bring the beast out of him. Cos we sure need his robost figure in some physical games. Finally i think we need a CB like Williams of Swansea or Morgan of Leicester,The Sol Campbell kind of CB and a Tall all round DM like the polish lad in Sevilla, Xhaka or wanyama, the Vieira/Gilberto kind of DM.
