Liverpool’s hopes of finishing the season in the top four and Tottenham’s hopes of winning the league title suffered a blow as both teams ended the game in a draw at Anfield.
It was evident from the word go that no team was playing for the draw but eventually that was to be the end result and probably a fair one as well.
For the Merseysiders, their best player was once again none other than Philippe Coutinho who was a constant threat for the visitors. The Brazilian scored a sublime goal early on in the first half to give Liverpool the lead.
Ten odd minutes later, Harry Kane equalized for the North Londoners, however, it will be fair to say that captain Lloris was the best Tottenham player on the day.
The French goalie made some incredible saves, especially in the first half to keep Liverpool out. Lloris deservedly earned praise even from the Liverpool fans. Here are a few tweets.
Lloris has been immense, such a good keeper.
