Manchester United have had concerns in the attack since the start of the season but at the back, they were rock solid.
However, slowly but surely their solid defensive setup has weakened as well and a poor defensive display in the last league game against Newcastle United cost them the victory.
In such a scenario, United must reinforce their defense and bring in a quality central defender. If reports are anything to go by then the Old Trafford club are linked with a move for Austrian and Dynamno Kyic center back Aleksandar Dragovic.
According to Sport Media Set, Dragovic is one step away from joining Manchester United and the Red Devils only have to splash $23m to secure his signature. Moreover, the report also claims that the agreement should be defined in the coming hours.
The 24-year-old center half was linked with a move to Man United last year (Metro) as well and United must finally secure his signature to improve their defense.
This season, Dragovic has featured in 13 league games for Kyiv and have helped them keep 10 clean sheets. Currently, Kyiv are level on points at the top with Shakhtar.

I can’t understand why full backs are now over lapping wingers, the last line of defence finds them retreating from the oppositions bye line all the way back to defend. No wonder there are defensive weaknesses in teams. They should be specialists in stopping attackers not in wing play, much better to have over lapping mid fielders they haven’t as far to travel back and have the security of having two full backs and a defensive centre half to stem any break away attacks.
