Liverpool very Close to Sealing 117 Goal Star Signing

Liverpool only have 30 points from 20 games in the premier League and with such inconsistent form, a top four finish is impossible.
The Merseysiders need to improve the quality of their squad in the winter transfer window and once again they are linked with Brazilian star Alexandre Pato.
According to reports in Italy (TMW via SportItalia), Liverpool are very close to sealing deal to lure the former AC Milan striker to Anfield.

The 26-year-old Samba star has proved his quality in Europe with the might Rossoneri but injuries have hampered his career progress. He has netted 117 senior goals in his career (Transfermarkt).
As far as Liverpool are concerned, Jurgen Klopp has got 4 out and out strikers in his squad in the form of Benteke, Sturridge, Origi and Ings. Apart from Benteke, all others are injured at the moment and Liverpool should reinforce the strike-force.
However, signing another injury prone star in the form of Pato makes little sense. In your opinion, should Liverpool secure the services of Pato?
