Spurs – Moves Underway to get Rock Solid Star Signing Done

Tottenham have signed three defenders this summer in form of Toby Alderweireld, Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier. Still, their defense is fragile and errors are leading to goals as seen in the first two PL games.
The North Londoners handed a new contract to young defensive midfielder Nabil Bentaleb after a decent last season. However, Spurs need someone better than the inexperienced Algerian to form a rock solid presence in front of the back four.
According to reports, Spurs are interested in signing Southampton star Victor Wanyama. The 24-year-old Kenyan star is one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League and has been impressive for the Saints in the last two seasons.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Spurs are preparing to launch a 16 million pounds bid to secure the signing of Wanyama and initial moves are already under way to get the deal done.
Victor featured in 38 games for Southampton last season and was a pivotal member of the defensive unit that only conceded 33 league goals last season (2nd best record in PL 2014-15).
Southampton have already sold a quality DM this summer in the form of Morgan Schneiderlin. Will they let Wanyama leave as well?
