Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign young Norwegian midfielder Edvard Sandvik Tagseth and are close to luring Spanish star Asier Illarramendi as well.
According to Norwegian source Tronder-Avisa, the Reds have beaten off competition from top European clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and Ajax to reach an agreement with the 14-year-old Tagseth.
As per the provided link, the midfielder is set to move to Anfield in January 2017, once he turns 16.
On the other hand, the Merseysiders are close to securing the signing of another midfielder in the form of Real Madrid star Illarramendi.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, Liverpool are going to make an offer of $23.7 million for the versatile player and the transfer is set to be completed with Real ready to sell the former Sociedad star.
Illarramendi is a quality midfielder and lack of game time is the main reason why he has not been able to shine at the Bernabeu.
