Manchester United have not signed a top defender yet to reinforce their backline but have added a new goal keeper.
The Red Devils officially confirmed the signing of Argentine goalie Sergio Romero. The former Sampdoria star is expected to replace Victor Valdes at Old Trafford who is likely going to depart this summer.
There are chances that first choice goalie David de Gea will exit Man United as well and hence Louis van Gaal has targeted Dutch goalie Jasper Cillessen.
Daily Star suggested that the Ajax star is the priority target to replace the Spaniard. Now Spanish source El Confidencial claims that United have already sealed deal to sign Cillessen and only official confirmation is left.
The Netherlands star is rated around €25 million and was Louis van Gaal’s first choice goalie in the World Cup last year. Cillessen, 26, is currently at the peak of his game and can prove to be a great signing.
In your opinion, is Cillessen good enough to replace David de Gea?
