Tottenham's Next Key Signing after Alderweireld

Pochettino-TottenhamIt is evident that Spurs priority this summer has been to reinforce their weak defense adequately and they have done so.
Having secured triple defender deal in the form of Trippier, Wimmer and Alderweireld, the North Londoners have strengthened their back line that has leaked goals for fun mainly in the past two years.
The question is, who will be Tottenham’s next key signing after Alderweireld?
Everyone attached to White Hart Lane is well aware of the fact that just fixing defense will not earn Spurs Champions League qualification next season.
They still need more quality in midfield and attack to challenge the best of teams and earn top four spot. The priority though should be a versatile midfielder.
Spurs have quality players in attack in the form of Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli and Harry Kane but the midfield clearly lacks quality and depth. Moreover, Paulinho is gone while Stambouli and Capoue will leave soon as well.
Arguably their best midfielder was young Nabil Bentaleb who has been handed a new contract but the Algerian defensive midfield star needs a creative midfielder or deep plying playmaker alongside him in the center of the park.
Former Newcastle United man Yohan Cabaye could have been a perfect addition but reports suggest he is joining Crystal Palace. Pochettino must now act swiftly to secure a quality midfielder.
