Liverpool football club released Australian goal keeper Brad Jones as his contract expired this summer.
On the other hand, the merseysiders secured deal to sign Hungarian national Adam Bogdan from Bolton Wanderers.
Goes without saying that Bogdan will be playing as a backup to first team star Simon Mignolet who was also voted as Liverpool’s player of the year last season.
Now Liverpool have officially confirmed that a new long term deal deal has been agreed with young Welsh shot stopper Danny Ward.
Ward joined the club in 2012 and since then made 35 U21 appearances for Liverpool. The 22 year old gained ample experience and earned a place in the first team squad in a lot of games but remained on the bench.
As per the provided transfermark link, Danny Ward featured in nine U21 PL games for the Reds last season.
Highly unlikely that he the young goalie will get a senior game next season after Bogdan’s arrivals but if he keeps up good form, may be he can get the nod in the league cup.
