Manchester United have been linked with numerous strikers during the past few days as the Red Devils are in need to reinforce their strike-force.
Argentine Gonzalo Higuain has been in the limelight. The former Real Madrid star knows that he will not be playing in Champions League group stages for second season running if he stays with Napoli and it is the right time to move.
The latest reports though suggest that Croatian star Mario Mandzukic is very close to signing for Manchester United from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Former Bayern Munich star is rated around £36m and after fall out with Atletico boss Diego Simeone, he is ready to move away from Calderon.
Mandzukic is a proven striker and will improve Manchester United forward line up which clearly lacks quality and depth for now. Last season, Mandzukic scored 20 goals and provided 5 assists in 43 appearances for Atletico Madrid.
Here is how Man United starting XI may look with Mario Mandzukic in the line up.

What no Jones … and no Otamendi either!
Back to the drawing board Soccerisma!!!
Jones is not better than Smalling, Chris was one of our best CBs last season.
Still, if Otamendi arrives, he will take Smalling’s starting place to make an all Argentine central defense with Rojo. Jones is not going to start anyways.
Where did I say Smalling was to be replaced by Jones?
