Manchester United defeated rivals Manchester City 4-2 at Old Trafford to go 4 points clear of their neighbors.
Who would have thought of such a turn around as Manchester United had a torrid first half of the season while Manchester City were level on top of the Barclays premier league with Chelsea on New year’s day.
Since then, City have been playing like a mid table side having won only 4 games, drawn 3 and lost 5.
Manchester United on the other hand are on a six game winning streak and have defeated in form teams like Spurs, Liverpool on the way as well to deservedly earn third place for now.
Surely, the Red Devils are favorites to qualify for next season’s Champions league group stage automatically by finishing in the top 3.
Three months back on January 11, Man City (47) were 10 points clear of Man United (37). Now, the tables have turned dramatically for both Manchester clubs as shown in the picture provided below.
