Manchester United splashed heavy sum in the summer transfer window to sign top players but still have not gelled in well.
The Red Devils must qualify for the Champions League next season or else the season will surely be regarded as a failure given the fact that United spent record sum.
Louis van Gaal is under immense pressure as he has not been able to find a successful system as yet and even after securing talented stars, the style of play has not been attractive one bit.
The midfield dilemma remains the same as it was last summer. Despite signing Herrera and Blind, United’s midfield has not provided much creativity and the defensive cover has not been there as well.
The Dutch manager will surely look to end that problem once and for all next summer by signing a top midfielder.
One top star who wants to join Manchester United is Belgian international Axel Witsel. The 26 year old midfielder plays for Russian club Zenit for now but has always been a fan of Manchester United and has given the Old Trafford club green signal to sign him.
Witsel claimed:
“The voices of the market? I know nothing, Sure, I love the Premier League and United ever since I was little. Sooner or later I want to play in one of the best clubs in Europe. I’m still young, I’ll see what the future holds.”
Witsel is a versatile midfielder capable of playing in multiple positions in midfield and will improve United. Should Van Gaal splash the cash to secure his services in summer?
